Utility accident cuts water to dozens of Ulyanovsk homes

On January 29, a utility accident occurred in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Ulyanovsk, according to the Ulyanovskvodokanal municipal enterprise. As a result, 35 apartment buildings on Kirov Street were left without water. Repair work was hampered by a car parked on a technical well hatch. Because of this, specialists could not reach the shut-off valve. As reported by Ulyanovskvodokanal, water supply has now been restored.

Following the incident, the district prosecutor«s office launched an investigation.

— In particular, the completeness of measures taken by authorities to eliminate the consequences of the utility accident is being assessed, — the department reported.
