Ulyanovsk Residents Invited to Honor Lenin's Memory

On January 21, Ulyanovsk will host a series of events to mark the 102nd anniversary of the death of Vladimir Lenin, the city's most famous native.

January 21 marks the 102nd anniversary of the death of Ulyanovsk«s most famous native, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. On this significant occasion, the house-museum of the leader of the world proletariat has planned a series of events. At 10:00, a flower-laying ceremony will take place at the Lenin monument on Sobornaya Square (6+).

At 11:00, an interactive tour titled «Memory of the Great Leader in Music» will be held at the museum on Lenin Street, 70 (6+).

At 12:00, the same venue will host an author«s lecture by M. Yu. Subina titled »Simbirsk on January 21, 1924« (6+).

At 13:00, the lecture program will continue with a presentation by T. M. Brylyaeva titled «V. I. Lenin and His Time» (6+).

A piano music concert titled «Amazing, Inhuman Music...» by students of the Ulyanovsk College of Culture and Arts will begin at 14:00 (6+).

Also, as part of the event, the opening of a joint exhibition project by the Lenin Memorial, the Gorki Leninskiye Museum-Reserve, and the State Archive of Socio-Political History titled «How Lenin Was Treated» will take place (6+). Admission to all events is free.
