Ulyanovsk administration explains how citizens can get social housing

Low-income citizens have the right to receive housing under social tenancy agreements, the Ulyanovsk administration reported. For this, their income must be no more than one-third of the subsistence minimum. Also, the value of property owned should not exceed 70 times the subsistence minimum per family member. Currently, this amounts to 1,179,920.0 rubles (approximately $11,800 at current rates). Another condition for registration is insufficient housing space, where per family member there is no more than 12 square meters of total area.
Housing units from the municipal fund are provided to citizens registered as in need of housing, in order of priority based on the date of registration.
