Residents of Tyumen have started receiving messages from MTS (Mobile TeleSystems) about changes to tariff conditions. The notifications state that starting February 2, 2026, the subscription fee will increase on some tariff plans, and the cost of additional services and family groups will change. The operator specifies that the adjustment will also affect archived tariffs.
«In January, on some archived tariffs, the amount of the subscription fee, additional services, and family groups will be adjusted,» says the notification from the operator.
The increase has caused dissatisfaction among city residents. Tyumen residents complain about the quality of connection and mobile internet and say they don«t understand why they are being asked to pay more.
«With such connection, it»s easier to terminate the contract altogether — what to pay for if even calling is impossible? What mobile internet — I have to talk to the city via video conference from a computer because calls on cellular just don«t go through…»
«The audacity is off the charts, and where is Rospotrebnadzor looking? It»s their duty to monitor the quality of service provision, not to condone illegal price increases. In Moscow, everything is fine — let them raise prices there, but here everything is at zero, so the payment should be at zero too.«
«There»s no internet, and tariffs are increasing — it«s unclear what to pay crazy money for. Operators just brush it off, saying it doesn»t depend on them. Well, that«s all complete nonsense: they set up the towers, but blame everything on local authorities.»
The editorial office of 72.RU has sent a request to the operator, a response is expected.
In December, we wrote that in the region, telecommunication services will become more expensive. Subscribers of various operators received messages about tariff increases. This concerned not only mobile communication but also home internet. Among them were Beeline, MTS, Dom.ru, and others.
