Two Accidents in Lipetsk Region: Four Injured
Over the past 24 hours, two road accidents with injuries were recorded on the roads of the Lipetsk Region. In Lipetsk, on Pobedy Avenue, a 51-year-old bus driver rear-ended a stationary Hyundai. The impact caused the Hyundai to collide with another bus driven by a 44-year-old woman. The 58-year-old driver of the Hyundai sustained injuries and was hospitalized. The second accident occurred in the morning in the Lebedyansky District on the Stanovoye–Troekurovo–Lebedyan highway. A 24-year-old Volkswagen driver lost control, veered off the road, and overturned. He had two female passengers aged 20 and 36 in the car; all three were taken to the hospital with injuries.
Over the same period, traffic police officers from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) identified 1,441 traffic violations. Specifically, three drivers were held administratively liable for driving while intoxicated, and 181 violations were recorded for failure to use seat belts. Automatic traffic enforcement cameras registered 1,107 violations. These included speeding, driving into oncoming traffic, running red lights, and using a phone while driving. Additionally, 50 mechanical collisions (no injuries) were reported.
