Tula Residents Complain About Huge Icicles Hanging From Buildings

Residents of Tula living in apartment buildings on 2nd Metallurgov Passage street are complaining about huge icicles hanging from the roofs and balconies of the building. They are sharing photos of «megaicicles» on social media.

In the comments, people note that according to the law, Tula residents themselves must knock down snow and ice from balconies and air conditioners. People express mostly negative opinions about this — they say, what are management companies and utility fees for if residents are forced to solve problems themselves?

In addition to icicles and the lack of cleaning, residents also complain about the cleaning itself. For example, during snow removal from the roof of house No. 6 on the same 2nd Metallurgov Passage, an air conditioner was damaged by icicles.
According to local residents, after such cleaning, the management company stopped carrying out snow and ice removal from the roof of the house and does not answer calls.
Problems with icicles, or rather with the fact that no one removes them, are occurring all over Tula, not only in the Proletarsky District. For example, this is what the roof of a building on Kaminsky Street looks like, near a tram stop.
Here, for order«s sake, a warning tape was hung so that if icicles fall on someone»s head, responsibility could be avoided. The problem is that the tape does not block access to the building and is needed «for beauty.»
The prosecutor«s office has already begun taking measures against management companies that are not coping with their duties. So far, measures have been taken against ZhSO LLC and UK NKP.
