Tula management company may be fined for late roof snow cleaning

A management company in Tula may be fined for failing to clear snow and ice from a roof, leading to flooding in apartments. Prosecutors have issued a warning to the company's head.

The Tula region is deciding on issuing a fine against a management company that is failing in its duties. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor«s office.

The case concerns the management company «NKP,» which Tula residents complained about on social media. The prosecutor«s office conducted an inspection and found that the company did not remove snow and ice from the roof, causing apartments to be flooded.

The prosecutor«s office issued a warning to the head of the management company demanding the violations be rectified. Law enforcement is now deciding on administrative liability against the company. Under the article on working in violation of a license, the legal entity faces a fine of up to 300,000 rubles (about $3,000 at current rates).

This is not the first time management companies in Tula have come under scrutiny from law enforcement for poor work. Earlier, a warning was issued to the head of LLC «ZSO» for failing to remove snow and ice.
