Donald Trump fulfilled his promise and called Savannah Guthrie to express support after the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy. According to media reports, the conversation took place after Trump«s interview with an American television channel. A White House spokesman confirmed that President Trump spoke with Guthrie and offered »words of support for her and her family« as they search for her mother. Earlier, Trump called the situation terrible and promised to allocate additional federal agents to assist in the investigation.
Authorities have not yet named any suspects in Nancy Guthrie«s disappearance.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said authorities believe Nancy is still alive and are doing everything to rescue her. The missing woman«s son-in-law, who was the last to see her, is not considered a suspect — he claims he ensured her safety before leaving.
Traces of blood were found in the house, and dried spatters are still visible on the porch. Police are treating the scene as a crime scene.
Savannah Guthrie has made only one public statement since her mother vanished.
