Toilets at Yaroslavl Bus Station Become Free

Public toilets at the bus station in Yaroslavl have become free for all, as announced by the Organizer of Transport of the Yaroslavl Region.

«Starting today, to use the toilet at the bus station, you no longer need to show a bus ticket or look for change. The sanitary rooms are open to all residents and guests of the city around the clock,» the organization stated.

Previously, the premises housing the toilets were rented out to an entrepreneur. Now, the rental agreement has been terminated, and the maintenance of the toilets has been taken over by a state institution, which will handle repairs and upkeep.

«The cleaning schedule is standard; we clean every two hours, and more frequently if necessary. A major renovation of the premises is planned this year,» the institution explained.

To access the toilets, one must pass through a metal detector at the bus station entrance, then go out to the platform and descend to the basement level.

The Organizer of Transport of the Yaroslavl Region also announced that in the near future, free toilet rooms will appear at all bus stations and bus stops in the region served by Yarobltrans.

In October 2024, the condition of the toilets at the Yaroslavl bus station left much to be desired: leaky ceilings, unreliable latches, broken taps, and overflowing trash bins were noted.
