Three New Schools to Be Built in Nizhny Novgorod Region for 3 Billion Rubles

Over 3 billion rubles (approximately $33 million at current rates) will be allocated for the construction of three new schools in Nizhny Novgorod Region. The educational institutions will appear in Chkalovsk, Lyskovo, and Volodarsk. All of them should be ready in 2028. Currently, tenders are being held on public procurement platforms to find contractors.

In Volodarsk, the school will be built on Volodarsky Street. It must be constructed by June 1, 2028. The maximum contract price is set at 985.3 million rubles (approximately $10.8 million at current rates). It was previously reported that the school will be designed for 500 students.

The school for 550 children in Lyskovo will be located on Minina Street. The contractor will have to complete the educational institution by August 1, 2028. The initial contract price is 1.07 billion rubles (approximately $11.8 million at current rates).

The educational institution for 725 people in Chkalovsk will appear on Lenina Street. The school should be ready by May 31, 2028. The initial contract price is 1.04 billion rubles (approximately $11.4 million at current rates).

The winners of the tenders are planned to be determined in February. Governor Gleb Nikitin spoke about the plans to build schools at the end of 2025 during a direct line. The educational institutions will be constructed under the state program «Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories».

Earlier, we reported that in Nizhny Novgorod, a permit was issued for the construction of the first house under the project for the comprehensive development of the territory in the area of Yanki Kupaly Street. In the high-rise building in Avtozavod, there will be 210 apartments and four public premises.
