Thousands of Tula Residents to Lose Water for 24 Hours

Tomorrow, Wednesday, 22 July at 8:00 a.m., thousands of residents of Tula will be left without water. Water will be restored only a day later — by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. The massive shutdown is linked to winter preparations at the Maslovsko-Pesochensky water intake.

From 8:00 a.m. on 22 July to 8:00 a.m. on 23 July, cold water supply will be suspended in the southern parts of the Sovetsky, Tsentralny, and Privokzalny districts of Tula, south of Pushkinskaya Street; the block bounded by Lenin Avenue, Ryazanskaya Street, Kaluga Highway; the village of Gosteyevka; the Zelenstroy district; the settlement of Kosaya Gora; as well as the military town of Berniki; the villages of Berniki, Selikhovoye, Ploshchanki, Pomogalovo, and Barykovo.

Reduced pressure in the cold water system awaits residents in the Petrovsky Kvartal neighborhood; the settlements of Myasnovo, Likhvinka, Mikhalkovo, Novy, Rassvet, Inshinsky; the village of Zaitsevo; the villages of Kharino, Khopilovo, Kitayevka, Verkhneye and Nizhneye Volokhovo; and the Skuratovo settlements.

Residents are advised to stock up on water. Free water distribution will be organized in the city throughout the day.
