During one of our street surveys, NN.RU found itself in the Avtozavodsky District. We didn«t miss the opportunity to ask local residents what they think about their area. We are publishing their comments in this article.

‘We were born here, and we will probably end our lives here. Yes, we love it very much, we miss the Avtozavodsky District. We are very happy; our palace is very good: when you walk past it, your heart rejoices. And the park is good. When someone visits us, we show everything, and everyone likes it,’ said Igor and Lyubov.

‘There is nature here, infrastructure, and shops. After all, in other districts, especially on the hilltop, you understand yourself [there isn«t as much space for walking],’ believes one of the residents of Avtozavod.

‘I was born and raised here, I understand the people who are here. Some say that the Avtozavodsky District is kind of strange, it«s very hard to live here, as if it»s not the center. But on the contrary, I like the pace, the calmness, there«s no hustle and bustle. And in general, the people here are still somehow different — simple, close to me,’ shared Anastasia.

‘I have lived here for many, many years. I also really like the upper part of the city — Gorky Square, Minin Square, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street. In the sense that it«s always very beautiful and atmospheric there because there are cafes and live music. There»s a slightly different atmosphere. You go there, and you get the feeling that you«ve ended up in some other place. You are not in Nizhny Novgorod, but in a city where there»s always a holiday, always fun,’ said Natalya.

The woman added that in the Avtozavodsky District, she likes the wide, straight streets and how well they clear the snow.
