Tatyana Edelman, deputy mayor of Irkutsk and chair of the social policy committee, who has held the position since 2022, has left the small «gray house,» the Irkutsk city administration press service told IrCity on January 23.

Edelman«s appointment as head of the social policy committee took place in August 2022. Prior to that, she already headed this structure in the administration under Mayor Dmitry Berdnikov (from 2015 to 2018). Moreover, from 2020 to 2022, she was chair of the committee for managing the Pravoberezhny District, while serving as deputy mayor under Ruslan Bolotov.

As clarified by the administration press service, Edelman resigned voluntarily. Currently, her duties are being performed by Nina Perfilyeva, head of the department of healthcare and social assistance to the population.

Perfilyeva is a Candidate of Medical Sciences. She has headed the specialized department of the mayor«s office since May 2022, before that (since 2019) she acted as head. Furthermore, according to the Rusprofile service, Nina Perfilyeva is president of the non-profit »Association of Pediatricians of Irkutsk Oblast.«

This is not the first resignation from the small «gray house» in recent months. In November 2025, the mayor«s office was left without a chief architect after the dismissal of Anton Zhukov, who had held his position since 2020.
