In the Krasnogvardeysky District of St. Petersburg, a comprehensive modernization of heat networks has started. The work is being carried out in quarter 10 Rzhevka-Porokhovye, which is bounded by Industrial Avenue and the avenues of Nastavnikov, Udarnikov, Entuziastov.
Here, 4138 meters of old pipes laid in the 1980s will be replaced. The new pipelines with polyurethane insulation will be energy-efficient and last up to 30 years. During installation, a system of operational remote control is used to monitor the condition of the insulation.
According to the plan of JSC «TEK SPb» (Thermal Energy Company of St. Petersburg), by November 2026, 4188 meters of new pipes will be laid. The company jokingly recalculated this length in corgis — it turned out to be 7614 average corgis.
To date, 2140 meters of temporary network (3891 corgis) have been installed to ensure consumers during the work, and 500 meters of the main network (909 corgis) have been laid. The reconstruction will affect 7000 residents, and over the past 5 years, there have been 13 technological failures in this section.
