The order concerns the development of a project for the section of Shuvalovsky Prospekt from Orlovo-Denisovsky Proezd to Marshal Novikov Street, which is also planned to be extended.

Conceptual design for the integration of a new tram line with the extended street network in northern St. Petersburg.
Two documents published on January 26 define the parameters of future work. The first order pertains to a section of Shuvalovsky Prospekt with a width of four to six lanes. The second covers Marshal Novikov Street on the segment from Parachutnaya to Verbynaya Street.
Within the framework of both projects, plans for the construction of a new tram line must be taken into account.
Attempts at detailed planning of this area have been made before.
In the future, the extension of Shuvalovsky Prospekt should provide a connection to the federal highway M-7.
Simultaneously, city authorities are implementing a program to develop the tram network in the northern districts, where the tracks along Marshal Novikov Street will become part of the system and will be connected to Shuvalovsky Prospekt.
