St. Petersburg approves plan to extend purple metro line
Saint Petersburg city authorities approved a planning project to extend the purple metro line, adding two stations and a depot.

The government of St. Petersburg approved a planning project for extending the Frunzensko-Primorskaya line. The new section will stretch beyond Shuvalovsky Prospekt station and include two additional stations as well as an electric depot.
The decree was published on February 4. It concerns the construction of the segment from Shuvalovsky Prospekt to Kolomyazhskaya with the Kolomyazhskoye depot. Previously, similar documentation was approved for the earlier segment of the line — from Komendantsky Prospekt to Shuvalovsky Prospekt.
