Southern Volgograd students take shelter during air defense

Students of School No. 64 in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd were sent to a shelter on the morning of 4 February while air defense systems were operating. Currently, as reported by the administration of the Volgograd region, the students have returned to lessons and the school is operating normally.

On the morning of 4 February, information appeared online that School No. 64 had been evacuated due to a previously declared drone threat in the region. However, the regional administration clarified the information.

— In the regional committee for education and science, they denied the information about an evacuation of the school, — the agency stated. — In connection with the air defense operations, students were moved to a safe room. At present, the students have returned to their studies and the institution is operating normally.

Governor Andrey Bocharov commented on the situation in the region, stating that Ukrainian drones had attacked industrial infrastructure facilities in the south of the city.

At the time of publication, the drone threat regime continues in the region. At Volgograd airport, restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been lifted as of this writing. Three flights from Moscow are delayed — two from Aeroflot and one from Pobeda.
