In the mountain cluster of Sochi, work continues to clear roads and sidewalks of snow. According to resort authorities, since the beginning of 2026, over 88,000 cubic meters of snow have been removed and taken away in the Krasnaya Polyana settlement district.

— The main focus is on clearing access to hospitals, schools, and other social facilities. Just in the last 24 hours, 55 units of specialized equipment and about 100 road workers have been involved in the cleanup, — according to the press service report.

Literally a day ago, information appeared about the initiation of 11 cases of administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 12.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-compliance with requirements for ensuring road traffic safety during road maintenance). The investigation was initiated by the Sochi State Traffic Inspectorate based on numerous complaints.

At the same time, inspectors partially shift the blame for uncleared roads onto drivers themselves. Chaotically parked cars hinder the passage of snow removal equipment.
Now, in the midst of the ski season, tourists are warned that cars abandoned along the roads are immediately towed to the impound lot.
