On January 22, the ridge of the Siberian anticyclone is strengthening its influence on the weather in St. Petersburg, while in Moscow, the weather situation is determined by its spur, which has spread to the western borders of the country.
In St. Petersburg, against the background of high atmospheric pressure, cloudy weather with clear spells is expected. Light snow is likely in the first half of the day. Winds from the eastern quarters are bringing increasingly cold air: in the city -7…-9°C (19…16°F), in the Leningrad Region -7…-12°C (19…10°F). The wind is southeasterly, 2-7 m/s. Atmospheric pressure is rising slightly and will reach 771 mmHg, which is above normal.
