«Baden has opened in Komsomoll, and some chaos has begun. Wet and drunk visitors are walking around the shops, buying alcohol and cigarettes. There»s a cinema and a children«s center in the mall, why should everyone have to see them like this? People, with no respect for anyone, walk around in incomprehensible attire without embarrassment. They also smoke at the entrance to the mall. They»ve set up some kind of brothel!« one witness stated.
Representatives of Badenland explained that according to the rules, guests leave the resort territory only once — at the end of their session, by showing a special bracelet. The incident was provoked by a group of visitors who wanted to smoke during their visit. The thermal complex does not have a smoking area, which caused an aggressive reaction: the group demanded to be let out and then illegally left the complex by crawling under a turnstile. The administration called this an isolated incident, after which staff were briefed and security was strengthened.
The first phase of Badenland, launched on 24 January, includes a large pool with an area of 1,200 square meters (12,900 square feet) and several saunas. In two months, the complex plans to open an outdoor pool. The full completion of the second and third phases is scheduled for July 2027. After that, the finished zone will be separated from the construction area, and the building«s appearance will change thanks to a new glass facade.
