Seven hospitalized after intestinal outbreak at St. Petersburg school
Cases of acute intestinal infection have been reported at School No. 39 in St. Petersburg's Nevsky District, with several people hospitalized.

On Wednesday evening, Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) reported seven cases of acute intestinal infection among students and staff at School No. 39 in St. Petersburg«s Nevsky District. Earlier that day, the school switched to remote learning and closed the building for disinfection.
According to current data, seven victims have been taken to infectious disease hospitals; three of them have been diagnosed with norovirus.
The school«s caterer is «AO KSP »Volna«» (JSC Catering Service Provider Volna). A sanitary-epidemiological investigation has been launched, and the Investigative Committee»s Main Directorate for St. Petersburg has begun a preliminary inquiry.
