On January 28, a series of notable incidents occurred in the region, including an attack at an educational institution and the suspension of operations at a major trading venue. During the night and morning hours, unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted by air defense forces over the Azov and Chertkovsky districts. No casualties or damage on the ground were reported.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case regarding the beating of a student at School No. 1 in the Olginskaya stanitsa. The conflict between teenagers occurred on January 22, but a video of the incident, showing a classmate slamming a girl into a doorjamb, causing her to lose consciousness, only went viral on January 28. The case has been classified under the article «Hooliganism.» The head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, has requested a report on the progress of the investigation.

During the day, Governor Yury Slusar announced the temporary closure of the Temernik market in Rostov-on-Don. This involves the suspension of operations at two trading complexes — Pervy Temernik and Bely Temer. According to Slusar, illegal schemes and criminal activity have been recorded in this area. Opinions among city residents are divided on this measure.

Also on January 28, two studios of a fitness center chain in Rostov suddenly closed for their female clients. The company explained this as an emergency decision made due to economic difficulties, so it was not possible to warn visitors in advance. Women trying to get refunds have encountered a lack of responses from managers. Representatives promised to provide feedback in the near future.

In addition, the Investigative Committee has opened criminal cases under the articles «Negligence» and «Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements for the life or health of consumers» in connection with the prolonged absence of water supply in Gukovo. Many residents of this city have been without water since January 16.
