According to media reports, the last photo on Nancy Guthrie’s social media — the mother of TV host Savannah Guthrie — was taken during a Christmas celebration with her family. Just a few weeks later, the 84-year-old woman was allegedly abducted from her home.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen alive on Saturday evening after a family dinner.

In the photo, which Nancy herself captioned «Merry Christmas, my dears», the whole family is wearing matching pajamas. Beside her are daughters Savannah and Annie, their husbands Michael Feldman and Tomasso Cioni, and grandchildren: 11-year-old Vale and 9-year-old Charles.

Bloodstains were discovered at the front door of Nancy Guthrie’s house, raising alarm.

In the comments, friends and relatives admired the family idyll. One user wrote: «What a wonderful family photo. Merry Christmas,» another added: «Oh, this is so special. Make sure to save it.»

Now that idyll has turned into panic. Nancy has not been seen since Saturday evening. Signs of forced entry were found on her front door, and a security camera was torn off. Bloodstains were found on the porch.

Investigators remain hopeful that Nancy Guthrie will be found safe despite the evidence.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said that investigators believe the woman was forcibly removed from her home. «We believe she is out there, she is alive, and we want to save her,» he said.
Meanwhile, officials have denied rumors of a possible suspect. A statement says that as of now, no one has been identified as a suspect or person of interest. Investigators urged the public not to spread unconfirmed information.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen alive on Saturday, January 31, when her daughter Annie drove her home after dinner and a game of mahjong. «She did not leave on her own,» Sheriff Nanos previously stated. «We believe she was forced to leave her residence against her will.»
Nanos emphasized that Nancy was of sound mind and clear memory. Her disappearance, he said, is not related to dementia, and she is not the kind of person who would simply walk away.
