Saratov mural of SVO hero Vitaly Pisarev

A mural featuring the portrait of Vitaly Pisarev, a guard sergeant of the Airborne Forces (VDV) who died in the special military operation, will appear on a building in Saratov. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

A portrait of a special military operation participant, Guard Sergeant of the Airborne Forces (VDV) Vitaly Pisarev, will appear on the facade of one of the houses on Heroes of the Fatherland Avenue in the Solnechny-2 microdistrict. This was reported by the Telegram channel «Saratov Oblast».

Vitaly was born in Tatishchevo, graduated from Gagarin Saratov State Technical University (SSTU) with a degree in electric power and electrical engineering. In 2015, he was conscripted for military service, and then signed a contract.

In March 2022, he died during the special military operation and was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

«The fighters were walking through a forest in the Kyiv region and were ambushed. My son took the position of gunner-operator in an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) and fired back until the very end, until they were hit by a tank,» said the hero«s mother to his comrades from the Battle Brotherhood.

Vitaly Pisarev is survived by his parents, sister, wife, and two little daughters, aged 4 years and 2 months. The youngest was born in April 2022, after his death.

One of the streets in the village of Tatishchevo is named after Vitaly Pisarev. At the school where the soldier studied, a «Hero»s Desk« was opened in his honor.
