82 years ago, the Leningrad Siege ended. From September 8, 1941, to January 27, 1944, the city was besieged by fascist troops. Residents died from hunger, cold, and bombings but did not surrender. Those who were evacuated were cared for by doctors, orphanage caregivers, and families who were not afraid to take in the young Leningraders. For more than 5,000 siege children, the rear city of Kuybyshev became a second home. Look at the archival photos of the lives of young Leningraders on Samara land.
