Saint Petersburg greeted with pink sunrise and rare atmospheric phenomena
Clear skies and a beautiful pink dawn were visible in Saint Petersburg on the morning of January 29, with weather conditions also giving rise to rare atmospheric effects in the region.

Thanks to an almost cloudless sky on the morning of Wednesday, January 29, residents of St. Petersburg saw a spectacular pink sunrise. The morning dawn could also be observed using the super-wide-angle webcams of the «OtLichny Peterburg» project.
The sun rose at 09:20 and will set today at 17:04. The duration of daylight will be 7 hours and 44 minutes.
The clear weather in the city was provided by an anticyclone. In addition to the sunrise, light pillars were noted in some areas during the night and morning hours. In the Leningrad Oblast, some eyewitnesses even reported a weak display of the northern lights.
