S-Class fitness studios in Rostov close, ignore refund requests

S-Class has three studios remaining in Rostov: two in the West and one in the center.
In Rostov, on January 19, two fitness studios of the S-Class network suddenly closed for clients – in the Northern residential area and in the city center. The reason is the difficult economic situation. Clients who wanted to cancel their subscriptions were asked to submit appeals, with managers supposed to provide feedback later. However, this did not happen, and company representatives are ignoring them. More than a hundred people are affected, and they intend to file complaints with the prosecutor’s office and the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor) of the Rostov region. This was reported to 161.RU by clients of the center.

S-Class is a network of women«s fitness studios. Centers are open in Rostov and Krasnodar. The business is registered to individual entrepreneur Tatyana Tulk. In Rostov, as indicated on the fitness center»s website, three studios are currently operating – on Budennovsky, Eremenko, and Stachki streets.

Suddenly Closed and Not Returning Money

Daria bought her subscription a year ago; it cost about 43,000 rubles (approximately $478 at current rates). Since she had frozen it, it was valid until April 2026. She still has almost 40 sessions left.

“I started going to the studio a year ago, around December. Everything was fine. I had a subscription that was valid for all branches in Rostov. The one closer to my home on Kosmonavtov, I went there more often. Sometimes after work I went to the business center ‘Five Seas’,” Daria says.
On January 18, the girl received a notification in the fitness studio app: it turned out that the studio on Kosmonavtov, 2e was closing “due to the difficult economic situation and a challenging period for the business.” Her colleague, who attended the studio in the “Five Seas” business center, also received such a notice. Clients were asked to write to an email to resolve all issues with subscriptions.
“I wrote an email. On Wednesday, I received a letter saying that I needed to fill out a Google form so that my application could be considered. And now I’ve been waiting for a response for a week. Managers don’t respond to any of the clients, and when you ask for the number of the head or owner, they don’t provide it. The schedule for the new week on Budennovsky, 97 isn’t appearing either, and there’s a suspicion that studio will also close,” Daria says.
The money for the massage subscription, which Daria hadn’t even started using, is also not being returned. According to Daria, more than 100 people have been affected by the fitness studio. They created a group chat and plan to file collective complaints with the prosecutor’s office of the Rostov region and Rospotrebnadzor.
Another Rostov resident contacted 161.RU with a request to cover the situation. She bought a subscription very recently – at the end of December. She was not warned about the imminent closure of the studio. According to her, more than 300 girls have been affected.
“The last time I was at a training session was on January 14. While I was there, two girls who came for a trial were actively sold subscriptions. I also bought a subscription not long ago – on December 23, a six-month one. On January 18, without any prior warning, the studio closed. They don’t respond to emails, calls are useless, they don’t transfer to the right specialists, and they don’t provide information on the matter. They don’t return the money, they’re just ignoring us. More than 300 girls have been affected. And the cost of subscriptions isn’t small,” another fitness studio client told 161.RU.
Not Enough Space in Remaining Studios
On the center’s social media, comments are now closed. But in reviews on various platforms, many girls complain that they cannot get refunds for their subscriptions after the sudden closure of the fitness center. Some write that it is impossible to book training sessions in the remaining studios because there are not enough spots.
“Now they’ve also closed the studio in the ‘Five Seas’ business center. Everyone who worked out there moved to Budennovsky, but the enterprise is completely unprepared for this. The number of training sessions and spots has not been increased. No matter when I check the app, there are no spots – only for some stretching at 8 p.m. Due to this situation, I have a bunch of unused sessions that I can’t even spend in the remaining month at the centers, they can’t offer me alternatives, and they refuse to extend the subscription,” a client left a review.
A 161.RU correspondent called the fitness center. A representative of the organization promised that the studio management would contact the editorial office later. This has not happened yet. The editorial office also attempted to contact S-Class representatives via email and social media.
“Currently, a centralized collection of appeals related to the closure of the studio is being carried out. We ask for your understanding in the processing process and, if possible, to refrain from repeated emails on the same issue,” such an answer automatically comes to those who send emails to the fitness center’s email.
