S-Class explains emergency shutdown of Rostov fitness studios

Two studios of the S-Class network in Rostov ceased operations on January 19 without prior warning to their clients. Women who had submitted requests to cancel their memberships did not receive a response to their inquiries for over a week.

Representatives of the fitness center linked the closure of the halls on Kosmonavtov Street and in the Pyat Morey (Five Seas) business center to a difficult financial situation.

«The closure of the studios on Kosmonavtov and in the Pyat Morey business center is related to a critical financial and operational situation specifically at these locations. At a certain point, their continued operation became impossible due to a combination of factors. The decisions were made urgently, in a crisis response format, without the possibility of planned and advance notification,» S-Class stated.

After the facilities ceased operations, the company received numerous inquiries from clients. All inquiries were compiled into a single database to avoid contradictory responses, which slowed down the feedback process.

The network is currently in crisis management mode. Inquiries continue to be processed while simultaneously considering possible solutions for each client.

«This week and next week, we plan to launch centralized communication with clients, including official notifications via mail, in the mobile app, and on social networks. Formats for personal communication are also being considered—individual dialogues and meetings with clients to work out possible solutions. During this same period, a protocol for further interaction with clients is being established,» the company noted.

Earlier, more than a hundred clients, having waited in vain for a reaction from S-Class, prepared a collective statement to the prosecutor«s office of Rostov Oblast and Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing).
