Rostov residents criticize snow removal despite more equipment

In Rostov-on-Don, due to heavy snowfall, municipal services have increased the number of vehicles involved in street cleaning. The corresponding statement was made by the city«s mayor, Alexander Skryabin.
«Utility services are working both night and day to ensure safe movement around the city, and since the start of the work week Rostov residents have been able to get to work without trouble,» the mayor wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to the data provided, the number of machines clearing the roads has reached 177 units. Another 42 vehicles have been brought in for the rapid removal of snow. In total, 2,500 tons of snow have already been removed from the city«s territory.
Despite the measures taken, a number of city residents are expressing dissatisfaction with the quality of the cleaning. In particular, users of the portal 161.RU are leaving critical reviews.
For example, in the Northern district, according to one reader, «there were snowdrifts and slush everywhere, and it«s still the same.» In Alexandrovka the situation is similar: «Alexandrovka is in such a mess that, it seems, they only cleaned Voroshilovsky and Sadovaya streets.»
Another user ironically noted: «219 units of equipment is for cleaning one district, not the whole city.»
Criticism is also heard in the comments under Alexander Skryabin«s post. There, users write: «Izvilistaya Street is not cleaned at all. We»re waiting for a thaw when it will melt on its own.»
Separate complaints are directed at the management companies, which, in the opinion of residents, clean the courtyards poorly. «In our area, still nobody has cleaned anything. Zhmailova, Stachki, Milchakova streets — in the courtyards nobody has cleaned anything. It«s impossible to walk,» notes one Rostov resident.
