Rostov Fitness Center Addresses Sudden Studio Closures and Customer Complaints

In Rostov on January 19, two fitness studios of the S-Class network suddenly closed for clients due to a difficult economic situation. Women who decided to terminate their memberships filed appeals — as per managers« instructions. However, none of them have received any feedback for over a week. Company representatives began ignoring them, according to Rostov women. A 161.RU correspondent reached out to S-Class for comment. The company explained why the women were not warned in advance and when they can expect responses.
«The closure of the studios on Kosmonavtov Street and in the »Five Seas« business center is linked to a critical financial and operational situation at these specific locations. At a certain point, their continued operation became impossible due to a combination of factors. Decisions were made urgently, as part of crisis response, without the possibility for planned and advance notification,» 161.RU was informed by representatives of the fitness center.
After the closure, the company received a large number of appeals from clients. They decided to compile them into a single database to «avoid giving fragmented and potentially contradictory answers,» the company says. Because of this, it was not possible to provide feedback promptly.
The company is currently in a crisis phase. The fitness studio continues to process client appeals and is considering solution options. Feedback will begin to be provided to the women this week and next, the company promised.
«This week and next, we plan to launch centralized communication with clients, including official notifications via email, in the mobile app, and on social media. Formats for personal communication are also being considered — individual dialogues and meetings with clients to work out possible solutions. During this same period, a protocol for further interaction with clients is being established,» say S-Class representatives.
As reported by 161.RU, clients of the fitness center sounded the alarm — over a hundred women had not received responses from company representatives. Therefore, they decided to file a collective complaint to the prosecutor«s office of Rostov Oblast and Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing).
