Rosseti restores Murmansk power supply

Specialists from Rosseti Severo-Zapad (Rosseti North-West) completed work on another power line overnight. They installed the wire and switched on the voltage at 07:14. All power lines supplying electricity to Murmansk are now functioning, the company reported.

— We are preparing to dismantle the temporary wooden structures. We will install a permanent metal support in their place. During the work, the power supply to Murmansk will be fully maintained, — representatives said on the official Telegram channel.

According to Governor Andrei Chibis, all those who directly worked at the accident site will be awarded bonuses.

Recall that parts of Murmansk and Severomorsk were left without power again on 31 January. Chibis reported the causes of the repeated accident.

The Murmansk Region Prosecutor«s Office has already launched an investigation into the massive power outages in the region on 23 January, a criminal case has been opened. It turned out that the fallen power line supports had been in service for almost 60 years.
