Roscosmos releases video of cyclone from space that warmed Volgograd

Roscosmos has shown in a video what the huge cyclone looks like, which buried Moscow in snow and caused a sudden warm-up in Volgograd. The one-minute clip, filmed from an altitude of 40,000 kilometers, appeared on the Telegram channel of the space agency.
The video shows the European territory of Russia from the coast of the Baltic Sea to the Ural Mountains. Moscow is marked with a large white dot on the map, and with map-reading skills, it«s easy to determine where Volgograd is and see that the sky over the city is covered by dense cloud fields, blocking sunlight from reaching the ground.
Recall that, according to the Volgograd Central Geophysical Observatory, unseasonably warm weather for January will persist in Volgograd for another couple of days — until the beginning of February. Along with near-zero temperatures (32°F), forecasters predict precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain. Then, when the cyclone leaves the region, shifting eastward, Volgograd Oblast will again experience frosts of minus 20 degrees Celsius (-4°F), atmospheric pressure will rise, and the sky will clear.
