Reverend Boycotts Super Bowl Over Bad Bunny Halftime Show

Reverend Jordan Wells, a lifelong NFL fan, has announced that he is boycotting this year«s Super Bowl. According to him, the reason is not that his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, didn»t make it, but that Bad Bunny is the halftime show headliner.

As reported by the media, Wells stated that his boycott is not because Bad Bunny sings in Spanish, but because, in his opinion, the Puerto Rican star has become an activist demonizing half the country.

Wells predicts that this Super Bowl will become the most politicized in history due to the choice of artist and the league«s reaction.

As is known, Bad Bunny has openly criticized the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and its harsh methods.
Wells adds that, in his opinion, the NFL is sending a message to half the country that voted for Trump that their feelings and opinions are not taken into account.
In recent years, the NFL, NBA, and other major sports leagues have implemented numerous anti-racism campaigns, which were triggered by the killing of George Floyd in 2020.
Wells says that in his youth, sports were not tied to political messages, and the Super Bowl united everyone, regardless of circumstances.
Now he is tired of the rhetoric that, he feels, condemns him for his views.
He states: «Americans are tired of celebrities who make 20 million a year and tell us that we are bad people because we want secure borders and enforcement of immigration laws.»
In the interview, Wells was asked if it would be different if the headliner were Kid Rock, who, by the way, was just announced as the main event of an alternative halftime show program.
Although Wells«s prediction may turn out to be true, it is still unknown what Bad Bunny has planned for the performance. We»ll have to wait until Sunday to see how political the show becomes.
