Restoration has started on the building at the «Strelets» base in Kurgan following a fire. Entrepreneur Andrey Petrov told this to a 45.RU correspondent.

«Right now, the building we want to construct is being designed. There is a preliminary agreement with the regional government that they will support us. We have already received assistance in the form of a microloan for equipment. We have purchased new skis, tubes, laser tag, and paintball. A modular structure is being prepared for storing paintball and laser tag equipment and issuing it to visitors. We are also preparing new areas for these games.»

The «Strelets» base did not cease operations. Since January 4, they have started renting skis to guests and managed to acquire inventory.

«The fire arose due to a heating cable that was installed several years ago; apparently, it became defective and started overheating. That was the cause of the ignition. To be honest, we didn»t expect such a thing from it. The damage amounted to 11 million rubles (approximately $110,000 at current rates),« the entrepreneur commented on the December incident.

In the future, the site is planned to be developed, with the new building being larger and more spacious. Overall, there are various ideas for developing the sports base.

«We want to revive the »Zauralsky Character« that we previously held. It is an extreme obstacle race that we conducted in 2017-18. If we agree on the use of the territory, I think such a race will be popular,» shared the head of «Strelets.»

Recall that the fire occurred on December 1, 2025. On the hill, the main building of the «Strelets» sports base burned down.
