Residents on Avtozavodsky District: 'People Here Are Different'

A survey was conducted on the streets of the Avtozavodsky District in Nizhny Novgorod, in which local residents shared their views on life in this district.

The couple Igor and Lyubov admitted that they are very attached to the district:

«We were born here, and we will probably end our lives here. Yes, we love it very much, we miss Avtozavod. We are very happy; we have a very good palace: when you walk past, your heart rejoices. And the park is good. When someone comes to visit us, you show everything — everyone likes it.»

One of the interviewed men noted the conveniences of the district:

«There is nature here, infrastructure, and shops. After all, in other districts, especially at the top, you understand yourself [there isn»t much space for walks].«

Anastasia, who grew up in these places, explained:

«I was born here, grew up, I understand the people who are here. Some say that the Avtozavodsky District is kind of strange, it»s very hard to live here, as if it«s not the center. But on the contrary, I like the pace, the calmness, there»s no hustle and bustle. And in general, people here are somehow different — simple, close to me.«

Natalya, who has lived here for many years, said:

«I»ve lived here for many, many years. I also really like the upper part of the city — Gorky Square, Minin Square, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya. In the sense that it«s always very beautiful, atmospheric, because there are cafes, live music. The atmosphere is a bit different. You go there, and it feels like you»ve ended up in some other place. You«re not in Nizhny Novgorod, but in a city where there»s always a holiday, always fun.«

Moreover, Natalya praised the wide straight streets and quality snow removal in the Avtozavodsky District.
