In the Traktorozavodsky district of Volgograd, residents of the Verkhnezarechensky settlement faced a lack of hot water supply during severe frost. According to locals, the water was shut off yesterday evening.

The problem occurred on Kostycheva Street, where a leak near house No. 97 necessitated cutting off the water supply. Despite the low temperature, which dropped to -22°C (-8°F), repair work has still not begun.

In desperation, residents appealed to the editorial office:

A cry for help! We urgently ask for help for us, the residents of Verkhnezarechensky settlement. Since yesterday evening, there has been no water on Kostycheva Street (one lane of the entire street). A leak is coming from the ground near house No. 97. The water was turned off, REPAIR WORK IS NOT BEING CARRIED OUT. Outside, it«s -22 degrees Celsius (-8°F). The pipes have frozen. What should we do? When calling the phone number 333-134, they say they cannot help us, wait.

According to citizens, dozens of houses were affected by the shutdown — from No. 65 to No. 98. Dispatch services respond to complaints by saying they can do nothing to help.

The V1.RU editorial board sent a request to the press service of «Water Supply Concessions» to ascertain the causes of the incident, the timeline for sending a team, and restoring water supply.

Recall that the day before, in the center of Volgograd, at Port-Said Street, 7a, residents were also left without heating and hot water due to a heat exchanger failure. The management company stated that they had previously attempted to replace the equipment but did not receive support from the residents.
