Repin Academy in St. Petersburg warned over compliance issues

Rosobrnadzor has issued warnings to 11 universities across Russia, with the Ilya Repin St. Petersburg Academy of Arts among them.

Russia«s Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science has issued official warnings to 11 higher education institutions located in various parts of the country.

As reported by the Rosobrnadzor press service on February 2, the Ilya Repin St. Petersburg Academy of Arts received a warning about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory requirements.

According to data from the Unified Register of Control Measures, the academy«s official website lacked documents that are required to be posted.

In the «Information about the Educational Organization» section, inspectors did not find local regulatory acts on key issues of the educational process organization, including procedures for establishing and terminating relations between the university, students, and their parents. Information on material and technical support, including adaptations for disabled persons, was also not provided.

The «Education» subsection lacked information on the number of foreign students and state-funded students, languages of instruction, and other data. The «Scholarships and Student Support Measures» section did not contain data on the number of residential rooms in dormitories and boarding houses for non-resident students, or on the formation of accommodation fees.

In addition to the St. Petersburg institution, warnings have been issued to the following educational institutions:

  • Non-State Educational Institution of Higher Education «Ural Institute of Commerce and Law»
