Renovation of Dynamo Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod to Finish in 2026
The major renovation of Dynamo Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod is proceeding according to the approved schedule. Three-quarters of all work has already been completed. As reported by the regional sports ministry, the facility is planned to be fully commissioned in 2026.
Funding is provided from the regional budget. At present, the following key stages have been completed:
- laying the final coating and marking on the football field;
- complete readiness of the athletics tracks and jumping sectors;
- installation of foundations for the lighting masts;
- laying of necessary utility networks.
Currently, builders are working on the construction of a safety pit, installation of sewerage systems and heating pipelines in the rooms under the stands, as well as concreting of the stands themselves. Simultaneously, preparations are underway for works on the facade.
The department added: «With the onset of positive temperatures, work on landscaping and repair of flat objects will be completed. Full completion of the works is planned for 2026.»
Earlier, in early September, another stadium in Nizhny Novgorod — «Vodnik» — was closed. An inspection deemed it unsafe, and sports section activities are now held at other venues.
