Check-in systems at Pulkovo Airport resumed normal operation at 17:18. This was reported by the airport administration and confirmed by Rosaviatsia (the Federal Air Transport Agency). Similar restorations were noted at other airports, including Zhukovsky near Moscow.

It will take some time for passenger service to fully normalize. At Pulkovo, additional check-in counters have been opened, and hospitality agents are helping passengers navigate the terminal. The airport administration urged passengers to be understanding of the situation.

The outage occurred in the global Leonardo booking system. According to Rostec (the state corporation), the problems arose in the network infrastructure on the provider«s side — the company »Sirena Travel«.

The incident affected airport operations across the country. For example, in Sochi and Krasnodar, warnings were issued about registration limitations. Airlines such as:

  • Aeroflot
  • Pobeda
  • Nordwind
switched to manual check-in for passengers and baggage. Aeroflot also allowed for schedule adjustments and flight cancellations.

The Ministry of Transport and Rosaviatsia have enhanced monitoring of air transport. The Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor«s Office is conducting supervisory measures in connection with the outage.

To analyze what happened, a meeting of the operational headquarters is scheduled at Rosaviatsia«s premises. It is worth noting that large-scale outages in the Leonardo system have occurred before — for example, at the end of 2024.
