The Prosecutor«s Office of the Pervomaisky District of Kirov conducted a compliance check in the area of combating IT crimes. It found that a 76-year-old resident of the regional center had fallen victim to fraudsters who stole 994,000 rubles ($11,000) from him. A criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code (fraud). During joint work with police operational services, it was established that the stolen money was transferred for cashing out to the bank account of a money mule (drop) living in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The court considered the prosecutor»s claim and fully granted it. Enforcement of the court decision is under the supervision of the supervisory agency.
