Primorsky Krai prepares telecom infrastructure for gardening season

In Primorsky Krai, telecom equipment was upgraded. Communications infrastructure was expanded in the easternmost city of the region, Dalnegorsk. The 4G coverage zone extends to dacha plots and the highway near Dorozhnaya Street.
The installation of an additional base station in this location means that in the new gardening season, summer residents will be able to watch videos, send messages in messengers, or read news at an average speed of up to 40 Mbps. To achieve this, engineers installed equipment that operates in several frequency bands.
Earlier, MegaFon engineers had already carried out network refarming in Dalnegorsk: last year they converted frequencies to the 4G standard.
Refarming can provide increased data transfer speeds, fast response when using messengers and navigation apps, and high data transfer speeds during peak network loads.
«It is important for us that high-quality communication is available not only in the city center but also beyond it — where people spend time at their dachas, relax with family, or do household chores. Investments in suburban telecom infrastructure are a contribution to the development of Dalnegorsk for thousands of users,» — noted the operator’s director in Primorsky Krai, Oleg Nikitin.
In total for the year 2025, about 300 telecom facilities were built and modernized in the region.
