Police raid nets 300 liters of illicit alcohol in Adler

Officers from the Administrative Law Enforcement Department of the Sochi Police Department conducted raids on retail outlets in Adler. A series of serious violations were identified during the inspections, according to the press service of the city«s internal affairs department. For example, at a store on Ul»yanova Street, alcohol was sold without documentation — 20 liters were seized.

On Voznesenskaya Street, mulled wine of dubious origin was being sold from a non-stationary kiosk. Police confiscated 15 liters there.

In a residential building on Gvardeyskaya Street, beer and cider were sold on tap, but no documentation for the beverages could be provided. 260 liters were seized. Administrative cases have been filed for all incidents under Article 14.16 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which deals with violations of rules for selling ethyl alcohol, alcoholic, and alcohol-containing products. The violators face fines and confiscation of goods.
