On December 23 last year, a district police officer of the Interdistrict Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs «Kirsanovsky» identified a violation during a preventive walkthrough of a residential area. A female resident of the city of Kirsanov, living on Plekhanovskaya Street, born in 1968, despite a previously imposed administrative penalty, again illegally sold alcohol products. The woman was engaged in manufacturing alcohol-containing liquid at home for subsequent retail sale to acquaintances. As a result of police operations, the following were seized:

  • 80 liters of alcohol-containing liquid;
  • a moonshine still;
  • an aluminum flask;
  • plastic bottles for packaging.

A similar repeated case of illegal trade was documented by district police officers of the police station in the village of Pichayevo of the Interdistrict Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs «Morshansky». The violation was committed by a female resident of the village of the state farm «Podyom», born in 1958, who also had alcohol products seized.

Police officers have ordered chemical-toxicological and food examinations. Based on their results, the issue of initiating criminal cases for repeated illegal sale of alcohol-containing liquid will be decided. Such actions are qualified under Article 171.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Illegal retail sale of alcohol committed repeatedly». The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 80,000 rubles (about $890 at current rates) or corrective labor for up to one year.
