Entrepreneur Yulia, who opened a Wildberries pickup point in a closed courtyard in the Northwest of Chelyabinsk, expressed her position regarding residents« complaints.
She purposefully purchased an office in a building on Krasnopolsky Prospekt because this area was classified as a «lilac zone,» permitted for pickup point placement.
As the owner of non-residential premises, she will receive a key to the courtyard gate but does not expect an influx of outsiders.
According to her, neighboring points were overcrowded, so the new location was created to serve three nearby buildings.
«Neighboring points were overcrowded, so this zone appeared here, specifically for these three buildings. We«ve been doing renovations since early January. People passed by, asked what would be here, said how great it is that we»ll have our own pickup point,» Yulia said. «I lived with the thought that everyone would be happy; when I read the article, honestly, I was stunned.»
Issues of unloading and loading goods are currently being resolved with the management company.
Initially, vehicles will stop at the gate, but later they promise to provide access to the courtyard area on a common basis.
«We are the same owners as everyone, we have every right to this. Loaders will drive in, unload, and drive back. I think it won«t bother anyone much; on the contrary, we are trying for the residents,» added the pickup point owner.
