Petersburg Housing Co-op's Heating Debt Tops 7 Million Rubles

Housing Cooperative No. 1192 in the Krasnoselsky District of St. Petersburg owes over 7 million rubles to energy company TGC-1 for heating supply. This information was provided by the company's press service on January 29.

According to TGC-1, the cooperative has not paid for the supplied heat energy over several billing periods.

The debt accumulated for the following periods:

  • June – July 2023;
  • October – November 2023;
  • February – April 2024.

The total debt amounts to 7,042,000 rubles (approx. $77,400 at current rates). This includes a penalty for overdue payments, accrued from 2022 to 2024, amounting to 1.5 million rubles (approx. $16,500), as well as state duties exceeding 113,000 rubles (approx. $1,240).

To recover the funds, the energy company will work with the bailiff service.

Within the framework of enforcement proceedings, security measures such as the seizure of bank accounts and property belonging to the debtors may be applied. For refusal to repay the awarded debt voluntarily, an enforcement fee of 12% of the debt amount is imposed on the debtor,
