Petersburg Court to Consider LGBT Ban Lawsuits in Closed Session
The St. Petersburg City Court has accepted two administrative lawsuits from the Ministry of Justice, which seek to recognize as extremist and ban two LGBT community organizations.

On February 2, the joint press service of the St. Petersburg courts informed that the city court has registered administrative lawsuits from the regional office of the Ministry of Justice.
The agency insists on recognizing as extremist and banning on the territory of Russia the Interregional Public Movement «Russian LGBT Network» and the St. Petersburg LGBT Initiative Group «Vykhod» (Exit).
The consideration of the cases will be held in closed session due to the «Secret» classification on the materials.
Previously, on November 30, 2023, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation already recognized as extremist and banned the activities of the International Public LGBT Movement.
