Perm resident complains of poisonous green tap water in apartment
A Perm resident complained about green water coming from the tap in a house in the Vladimirsky neighborhood. We explain why it changed color.
The resident, who lives in a three-story building at 26 Krasnopolyanskaya Street, complained on social media about poisonous green water running from the tap. She says the water has been this color for several days.
«How can we wash and bathe children in this?» the Perm resident wondered.
T-Plus (Т-плюс) told 59.RU that they had warned residents of the Motovilikhinsky, Leninsky, and Sverdlovsky districts about this.
«Since 21 January, we have begun color diagnostics in our pipes. This is how we search for leaks and illegal connections to the heating networks,» the company warned on its social media accounts. «For this, a special safe marker called »Uranin-A« has been added to the heating system. It is clearly visible in water. Its bright color will immediately reveal any damage or illegal connection to the system. At the same time, the reagent is completely safe for people and animals.»
Additionally, 59.RU explained that if such water is running from the tap in an apartment, and not, for example, on the street from a pipe burst, this indicates problems with the internal networks of the building.
The management company «Vladimirsky», which services the building at 26 Krasnopolyanskaya Street, told us that the building recently had its pipes replaced and, probably, during the repair, slag got into them.
«After replacing pipes in the network, there is a chance of dirt and slag getting into the shut-off valves. Next week we will replace the valve with one more suitable for the temperature regime,» the company director clarified to 59.RU.
If your house also has non-transparent, green water running, call T-Plus at 8 (342) 259-39-98 or write to uranin@tplusgroup.ru.
On 23 January, Perm residents complained about an artificial skating rink in Motovilikha — the alley from Krup-skaya Street to school No. 116 was flooded with water and froze.
