Overnight heating shutdown in Murmansk's Pervomaysky District

Emergency repairs at a thermal power plant will leave 365 buildings without heating or hot water in Murmansk from late February 3 to early February 4.

Overnight from February 3 to 4, JSC Murmansk Thermal Power Plant will conduct emergency repair work at the Southern Boiler House. To fix the malfunction, part of the equipment will be temporarily shut down.

«Voltage drops in the power system caused damage to equipment on one of the network pumps at the Southern Boiler House of JSC Murmansk Thermal Power Plant,» the plant«s press service explained.

As a result, heating in some houses will become weaker (temperature will drop by approximately 40–50%), and some buildings will temporarily be without heating and hot water. In total, 365 buildings, including 301 apartment buildings, will be affected by the restrictions from 23:00 on February 3 to 06:00 on February 4:
