Over 46,000 visit Stavropol's Lenin Square ice rink

With the onset of cold weather, Stavropol residents gain another pastime—skating. Many of us enjoy going for a ride and sometimes hitting the ice, feeling like real athletes. It turns out that in the last month, the rink in the city center was visited by about 16,000 people.
This impressive figure was shared by the Stavropol administration. Recall that the season here started in late November. During this time, nearly 46,000 Stavropol residents have taken to the ice, which is unsurprising as this place often sees many people—both children and adults, especially on weekends.
«In January, 16,000 people visited the rink, and over the season, about 46,000 have visited, including 25,000 children and over 3,800 family members of participants in the special military operation. Skating sessions will last until spring, after which the winter tent will be removed,» said Stavropol Mayor Ivan Ulyanchenko.
Also, the administration noted that the New Year«s illumination, decorations, and Christmas trees will not be removed until spring. Dismantling is planned after the season ends, so there»s still a chance to take photos against the backdrop of bright lights.
It is worth noting that this is not the only place to go skating. There are other locations in the regional capital. For more details on where else to hit the ice and how much it costs, read here.
