Over 20 homes without heat in Krasnogvardeysky District

A technological failure on the heating network in the Krasnogvardeysky District of St. Petersburg led to the shutdown of heating in more than two dozen residential buildings.

ZhKS No. 2 of the Krasnogvardeysky District clarified that 25 residential buildings on Prospekt Kosygina, Lenskaya Street, and Prospekt Nastavnikov, as well as three educational institutions, were left without heat.

According to the press service of JSC «TEK SPb» (St. Petersburg Fuel and Energy Company), the accident occurred around 14:00 on 3 February on Lenskaya Street, 10/3. Specialists discovered a defect in a pipeline with a diameter of 400 mm.

«For the duration of repairs, heating supply in nearby buildings is limited; hot water is supplied in full,» the company reported. According to standards, 13 hours are allotted for restoration work, but energy workers will try to complete it earlier. Excavation work began at 16:30.
